Preity Zinta pledges to provide oxygen concentrators across India to aid in the COVID fight



Actress Preity Zinta, the co-owner of the Punjab Kings franchise cricket team took to Instagram and informed about the team providing oxygen concentrators.
With India battling a deadly second wave of COVID-19, Many celebrities have been stepping up in providing aid to those who are in desperate need. India is seeing a massive shortage when it comes to hospital beds, medicine supply as well as oxygen concentrators, even as the number of people afflicted with the COVID-19 vaccine increase each day. The numbers are rising despite India administering two varieties of COVID-19 vaccines, due to the sheer population of the country and a struggling medical facility.
The latest celebrity to announce aid to those suffering from COVID-19 is Preity Zinta. The Bollywood actress, who is also the co-owner of the IPL franchise Punjab Kings, has shared an important update on social media promising help with oxygen concentrators across the country.
Captioning her post, “Together we can and we will win this war,” she wrote, “Given the current situation of the pandemic, Punjab Kings, along with partners Round Table India (RTI), have pledged funds towards providing oxygen concentrators across the country. Together, we can win this war. #SaddaPunjab”
