XO, Kitty is one of the most anticipated teen rom-com series on Netflix. The show is a spin-off from the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film series and follows Kitty Song Covey as she navigates her way through school life at KISS Academy in Seoul, South Korea. After the season two finale left fans on an emotional cliffhanger, many are counting down the days until Season 3 premieres in January 2025. Although only Season 3 has been confirmed so far, fans can expect more swoon-worthy romance and friendship drama, just like in previous seasons.
XO, Kitty Season 3 Release Date Rumors
Netflix confirmed on February 2025, shortly after the premiere of season 2 and before season 3’s filming took place in Seoul in July 2025, that XO, Kitty has been officially renewed for a Season 3. Season 2 is currently still in post-production.
As of January 2026, Netflix announced that Season 3 will debut sometime during 2026. There is currently no specified date but with Netflix’s regular post-production and marketing timeframes, there is speculation the show will release sometime early to mid-2026, with March or April being the most likely times.
The cast has only teased that season 3 will be released soon; however, fans have shared theories that it may be released in February (including on Valentine’s Day) but again there hasn’t been a confirmed date. Usually, Netflix announces trailer and premiere dates within a few months of the premiere so it is reasonable to assume that fans will receive the announcement of an official date prior to when Netflix begins issuing out marketing through Tudum and across their other platforms.

We’ll be meeting many new cast members this season (approx. total of 3) with the potential to greatly alter the romance and societal framework around KISS. Even though there are rumors about the personnel changing in season 3 with a possible character or two leaving the show, there have been no official announcements made yet.
XO, Kitty Season 3 Potential Plot
The story of Kitty will continue in season three where it left off in season two with Kitty realizing that she has romantic feelings for Min Ho and having her scholarship reassured. Throughout this season, for the first time, a summer episode’s setting will be the opening episode rather than the usual school year.
According to executive producer Jessica O’Toole, viewers can expect season three to feel more mature and mirror the characters transitioning into their senior year and the more important life changes that await them. The relationship between Kitty and Min Ho, which fans have called the long-anticipated slow burn, will continue to be a focal point of this season, and because of how many fans are rooting for Kitty and Min Ho, many believe that this relationship has strong potential to be an endgame.
Along with romantic development in the series, season three is expected to develop the characters’ friendships to grow closer to each other, create rivalries as their circle of friends grow with the introduction of new characters, and deal with the pressures that come with graduation and growing up, such as identifying themselves as individuals and figuring out their future. With all of these components combined, the third season seeks to have a perfect balance between Kitty’s experiences creating heartfelt growth for herself, however, it will still maintain the same whimsical experience that has characterized Kitty’s journey throughout the previous seasons.
Both seasons one and two of XO, Kitty are available for streaming on Netflix, and season three is set to be available for streaming in 2026. The official launch date, as well as a trailer and exclusive images, will be available in the next few months.
