In response to heightened national security measures and recent events, Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios have officially called off the theatrical release of their upcoming family entertainer Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film will now have its world premiere exclusively on Prime Video on May 16, 2025.

In a joint statement, the makers said: “While we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating this film with you in theaters, the spirit of the nation comes first. Jai Hind.”

CAST & CREW DETAILS

The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles. It is directed by Karan Sharmaa and produced by Dinesh Vijan, known for his successful collaborations under the Maddock Films banner.

The music for Bhool Chuk Maaf has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. Acclaimed cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee, known for his work on several high-profile projects, has helmed the visual storytelling of the film.

Given the current nationwide drills and security alerts, the production team has opted to prioritize public safety while ensuring the film still reaches audiences through a digital release.

With a blend of humor, drama, and family-friendly storytelling, Bhool Chuk Maaf is poised to be a major release for Prime Video, available to stream globally from May 16.
