As the effect of the Pandemic continues, more and more movies are being forced to directly stream on OTT platforms. Amazon Prime Video recently released the slate of 9 Indian movies that will be directly available for streaming.
Here is the list:
- Halal Love Story – October 15 (Malayalam)
The movie is directed by Zakariya Mohammed. It stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju George, Sharaf U Dheen, Grace Antony, and Soubin Shahir in lead roles along with Parvathy.
2.Bheemasena Nalamaharaja- October 29 (Kannada)
The movie is directed by Karthik Saragur. It stars Aravinnd Iyer, Aarohi Narayan, Priyanka Thimmesh, Achyuth Kumar, and Aadya in leading roles. As per the director, the film is “based on six rasas — sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent, and the six characters represent six rasas.”
3. Soorarai Pottru – October 30 (Tamil)
The film is directed by Sudha Kongara. It stars Suriya in the lead with Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, and Mohan Babu in pivotal roles. The movie is a fictionalized take of the book “Simply Fly” written on the life of Capt. G. R. Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan.
4. Chhalaang – November 13 (Hindi)
Chhalaang is directed by Hansal Mehta. It is a social black comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushratt Baruchaa.
5. Manne Number 13 – November 19 (Kannada)
The movie is directed by Vivy Kathiresan. It is a horror-thriller starring Varsha Bollamma, Aiswarya Gowda, Praveen Prem, Chetan Gandharva, Ramana and Sanjeiv.
6. Middle Class Melodies – November 20 (Telugu)
The film is directed by Vinod Anantoju. It is a romantic entertainer which stars Anand Deverakonda and Varsha Bollamma. Set in the backdrop of Guntur city, it is a tale of a middle-class man wanting to buy a hotel.
7. Durgavati – December 11(Hindi)
It is directed by Ashok. Starring Bhumi Pednekar, Durgavati is a thriller that tells the story of an innocent Government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy.
8. Maara – December 17 (Tamil)
Directed by Dhilip Kumar, Maara is a romantic drama film. It stars R. Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles.
9. Coolie No. 1 – December 25 (Hindi)
The film starring Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, is the 45th movie of David Dhawan. It is a continuation of the popular franchise of the same name.
