Netflix announced the first season of Unstable in 2022 and released the trailer for the same on 2nd March 2023. The show was aired on the 30th of March this year, comprising 8 episodes in total. It is a comedy-oriented series starring Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe, who are also executive producers, including Victor Fresco. Sara Baggar is the producer along with Netflix is the production company.

The show is inspired by Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe’s (real-life father-son) incidents, how the son is looked upon as embarking on the same route as his father. The series also has a similar kind of plot, wherein Jackson Dragon (John Owen Lowe) begins to work at his father’s biotech firm, after the death of his mother. Although, Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) is a successful businessman, Jackson chooses to help his father by preventing any disaster that might harm his reputation and his company. Ellis is an egoist and his son denies that he will ever replicate like him.

The cast includes Rob Lowe, John Owen Lowe, Emma Ferreira, Fred Armisen, Tom Allen, Frank Gallegos, Brie Elay, Aaron Branch, Sian Clifford, Brie Elay and J.P Parr in key roles. The show was shot in United Nations.

The show is currently streaming on Netflix and has gained positive reviews from the audience. The running time of each episode is half an hour, which makes it a perfect fit for binge-watch. The father-son duo tries to demonstrate some of the stories that we possibly live by, which is worth a try.
