Marcus Rutherford, who plays Perrin Aybara in The Wheel of Time, revealed in an interview that the second season of the series will be even more brutal, he said in the interview, ” They’ve started to accept and have faith in the prophecy and their destiny, so there’s more of a maturity to them. It’s darker too, more real and a bit more brutal. The innocence of those kids we find in the village in Episode 1 is long gone, and they are becoming a bit more grown-up. I am really excited for people to see it. ” He also added that there will be a time jump in the second season.
The second season will also be based on the novel, in the books there is a few months gaps in the plot from the first to the second one. So, the time jump that Marcus mentioned might be this few months separation.
