Karan Johar has teased the first look of his upcoming web series titled Showtime. Producing under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, the show features Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. The latest web show will explore the conspiracies in the cinematic world and give a sneak peek into the glamorous industry.
From the look of the teaser, it seems like Emraan will be playing the Bollywood Badshah. He says an intriguing dialogue in the clip, “Nepotism ke mukhaute ke piche aakhir mein har outsider insider banna chahta hai.” (Every outsider wants to become an insider behind the mask of nepotism).
Karan Johan shared the teaser on his Instagram account and captioned it, “Welcome to a world which functions on – lights, camera & action! Entangled in the struggle for power, Showtime is a web series that will draw boundaries…only to cross them. #HotstarSpecials #Showtime, coming 2024 only on Disney+ Hotstar! #ShowtimeOnHotstar.”
As soon as the teaser went viral, fans started flooding the comment section with exciting remarks. A user wrote, “Looks banging!!!” While another said, “All the very best Emraan.” A netizen stated, “The cast looks phenomenal.”
Showtime is a Disney+Hotstar original and will be released in 2024. Created by Sumit Roy and directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. It features Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Mouni Roy, Mahima Makwana, Shriya Saran and Rajeev Khandelwal.
On the work front, Emraan Hashmi was last seen in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. He played the role of prime antagonist and the film has attained immense revenue at the box office. While Mouni Roy played a phenomenal role in Brahmastra. Meanwhile, Naseeruddin was a part of the Taj series and played the role of Akbar.
