Shadow and Bone are the Netflix Adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling Grishaverse books. The first season of the show was based on the events of the first book of the same name. Now Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming season showing The Darkling’s return in full, and it spells certain destruction for the country unless Alina can boost her powers. The trailer shows her venturing out to find new sources of strength to oppose the Darkling while also teasing a dangerous new mission for the Crows.
Previously a teaser was released before the trailer, the teaser gave a brief glimpse of The Darkling’s shadowy new friends, the trailer gives the full scale of his impervious army of darkness. The trailer starts with a wave of shadow sweeping over the land with Kirigan as the tip of the spear. The widespread devastation forces Alina’s hand to protect Ravka from further chaos, though her powers are no match in their current state.
Across the world, The Crows- Kaz, Inej, and Jesper return to Ketterdam to find themselves surrounded by enemies on all sides. When the chance for a deadly heist arises, they will turn to new friends like Heartrender Nina and demolitions expert Wylan for a shot at glory- one that may lead them to face Alina once more. Shadow and Bone season 2 will premiere on Netflix on March 16, 2023. The second season is also featuring some much- anticipated new faces and characters.
