SEAL Team is one of the most exciting military action dramas on OTT with its authentic and high-stakes depiction of elite Navy SEALs and Bravo Team’s challenges, missions, and personal stories. Many fans continue to show interest in seeing more after the end of season seven, which provided viewers with an emotionally satisfying resolution, as well as plenty of character development and how being in the military has affected Jason Hayes and his fellow soldiers. There have been calls from fans for a revival to be made, as well as scattered interest and speculation on various social media outlets.

SEAL Team Season 8 Renewal Status and Release Date Speculations

As of November 2023, Paramount+ confirmed that SEAL Team’s seventh and final season aired from August 11 to October 6, 2024. The seventh season marked the end of the 114-episode series.

Since the series has concluded, there are no plans for a revival, continuation, or follow-up season. General development of a SEAL Team stand-alone feature film was also cancelled.

Even though there have been claims of a season 8 and a 2026 return on social media, YouTube videos, and fan pages, those claims are not substantiated by any of the major trade publications, CBS Studios, or Paramount+. As of the beginning of 2026, the series status is “finished,” and no further production on the series is ongoing.

Max Thieriot (Clay Spencer) did not appear in the final season following the character’s death in Season 6. No casting announcements exist beyond Season 7, as no further seasons are planned.

SEAL Team Series Conclusion and Story Wrap-Up

Season 7 is being created as an intended end to the series, focusing on missions & operations of the Bravo team, as well as the effect that long-term costs of war have had on them.

The final episode of the show provided closure for many of its characters while allowing for some to go off in another direction. The showrunner Spencer Hudnut has stated there are ideas for possible future stories; however, it was determined that once the final decision on 7 seasons was made, the series should end there.
