Actress Aahana S Kumra has joined the lineup of Rise & Fall, the new reality series hosted by Ashneer Grover, streaming on Amazon MX Player from September 6, 2025. Known for her bold roles across television, films, and web series, Aahana brings her acting prowess and strong personality to the high-stakes reality format.
Early life and education
Born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Aahana studied at Mary Immaculate Girls High School in Mumbai and La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow before pursuing higher education at HR College of Commerce, Mumbai. She later earned a diploma in vocational advertising.
Career journey
Aahana made her acting debut in 2009 with the short film Mai and appeared in the TV series Bollywood Hero the same year. She rose to prominence playing Taruni Sikarwar in the TV series Yudh (2014) alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
She ventured into digital platforms with the web series Official Chukyagiri (2016) and has since been a familiar face in OTT productions. In 2015, she won the Best Actress Award at the Noida International Awards for her performance in the short film Siberia.
Personal life and family
Aahana comes from a well-established family. Her father Sushil Kumra served as Vice President at Lupin Ltd, while her mother Suresh Kumra was a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Uttar Pradesh. She has two siblings — brother Karan Kumra and sister Shivani Kumra, who works as a Key Account Manager at International Flavours and Fragrances.
Currently unmarried, Aahana lives in Mumbai and balances her career with her hobbies of reading, travelling, swimming, and exploring cities on foot.

Her favourites include aloo paratha, Schezwan rice, and sushi, while her preferred actors are Shah Rukh Khan and Emma Stone. She enjoys shows like The Crown and Black Mirror, loves lemon tea, and often gravitates towards black and blue outfits.
