In the latest episode of Rise and Fall, choreographer Dhanashree Verma once again opened up about her past with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, making it the seventh or eighth time she has brought up her divorce on the show.
Dhanashree, while talking to fellow contestants, remarked, “If I talk about my divorce, this show will seem peanuts in front of my story.” Her comment left the house in silence for a moment before others tried to comfort her.
The divorce saga
Dhanashree and Chahal, who tied the knot in December 2020 after meeting during online dance classes in the pandemic, legally parted ways in March 2025. Their relationship had already been under public scrutiny, with Dhanashree earlier revealing on a Humans of Bombay podcast that she broke down in court during the final hearing.
Despite vowing to move forward, Dhanashree’s references to her personal life continue to dominate her journey in Rise and Fall, sparking debates among fans over whether the constant spotlight on her marriage is overshadowing her game.
