Ashneer Grover’s reality show Rise And Fall witnessed a tense moment in the latest episode when actor Arjun Bijlani and actress Kubbra Sait got into a sharp verbal exchange over what Arjun termed as “double standards.”
The argument began when Arjun questioned Kubbra’s reactions to jokes made by different contestants. “Jo banda tujhe show me mila, uska mazak tujhe acha lag rha h, jo tujhe pahle se janta hai uska mazak tujhe acha nahi lag rha, ye kya double standard huwe,” Arjun said, suggesting that Kubbra was being selective in how she judged humor on the show.
Kubbra immediately denied the allegation, responding, “Double standards nahi.” However, the conversation quickly escalated, with Arjun pressing further: “Tujhe meri baat ka kyu bura lag rha h, me to hamesha se hi aisa rha hu.”
The discussion turned more personal when Arjun pointed out comments made by another contestant who is “15 years younger,” questioning why Kubbra was comfortable with remarks about her marriage status from him but not from others. “You can’t suddenly choose one day, aaj tu mere sath aisa nahi kar skta,” Arjun added.
Kubbra stood her ground, maintaining that she was indeed hurt by Arjun’s remarks: “Bura lag rha h.”
The clash has sparked buzz among viewers, many of whom are now debating whether Kubbra’s responses reflected inconsistency or whether Arjun crossed a line in raising personal issues on the show.
