The shooting of season 2 of actress Sushmita Sen’s much awaited Disney Plus Hotstar series ‘Aarya’ has been completed. Director Ram Madhvani on Tuesday confirmed the wrap-up of ‘Aarya 2’ on his Instagram handle.
He shared a row of pictures with the crew of ‘Aarya 2’. In the caption, Madhvani penned a praising note for the cast and crew, in which he wrote, “The journey of Aarya 2 has been tough, scary but fun! The ‘new normal’ in life resulted in a lot of struggles as we decided to do what we are passionate about.”
He further added, “But what makes it worthwhile is the team you journey with and I am grateful to each and every one of these passionate people. Without their dedication and work ethic, we could not have finished shooting #Aarya 2 safely!”
Lead actress Sushmita Sen returned to acting career with crime drama web series ‘Arya’, for which she won the title of ‘Best Actor in a Drama Series’ in the category of famous awards like Filmfare, Dadasaheb Phalke, Film Critics Guild.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, Sandeep Modi and Vinod Rawat, ‘Aarya’ is the official Indian remake of the popular Dutch show ‘Penoza’. Along with Sushmita, the cast includes Chandrachur Singh, Namita Das, Sikandar Kher among many others.
Talking about Sushmita Sen’s character ‘Aarya’ in the series, she is a self-sufficient woman who wants to safeguard her family and joins a mafia gang to avenge her husband’s murder.
The second season of the crime thriller series will continue Arya’s story and how she deals with new challenges while fighting her battles for the family.
