In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Amrapali revealed that Pawan once confessed he would do anything for his mother’s happiness, even if it meant sacrificing love. She recalled his words:
“Pawan ji humbly told me, ‘Pandit ji, nothing is more important to me than my mother’s happiness and respect. I will do whatever she says.’”
This, according to Amrapali, was the reason why Pawan never married Akshara Singh, despite their long-rumoured relationship.

Amrapali also shared that she tried to stop Pawan Singh from marrying another woman because of Akshara’s deep love for him. She recalled how the marriage happened suddenly without invitations, shocking even close colleagues:
“The world knows that Pawan Ji’s marriage happened suddenly. Many people, and even we, did not get the invitation cards. We suddenly came to know that Pawan Ji is going to Ballia and getting married.”
According to Amrapali, Akshara was devastated at the time, and she herself kept calling Pawan to make him realise Akshara’s worth.

Amrapali added that Akshara’s condition was very poor when news of Pawan’s marriage broke. “I kept calling him continuously because he was not picking up my call. After a long time, he picked up and I asked him, do you think what you are doing is right?”
