Man, the internet is on fire for MobLand Season 2 and it’s barely even started filming yet. Season 1 ended back in June with that absolute gut-punch finale – Harry in cuffs, Maeve staring down the feds, and the entire Harrigan empire basically in flames. 26 million people watched that chaos unfold, so yeah, Paramount+ hit the renew button faster than you can say “family business.” They confirmed Season 2 on June 23 and then, boom, November 13 they posted a behind-the-scenes photo with the caption “We’re back, baby.” Filming is happening right now in London, Dublin, and a few other spots across the UK and Ireland.
MobLand Season 2 Release Date Buzz
When’s it actually coming out? Nobody’s saying the exact date yet, but everyone’s betting on spring or summer 2026. Season 1 dropped in April, smashed records, and wrapped in June, so the smart money is on Paramount sliding Season 2 into the same sweet spot next year.
MobLand Season 2 Expected Cast
The cast? Insane. Tom Hardy is back growling and chain-smoking as Harry Da Souza. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are both returning as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan – thank God, because those two basically carried half the show on pure menace and class. Pretty much the whole main crew is coming back: Janet McTeer, Toby Jones, Alex Fine, the lot. Fourteen returning players in total.
But here’s the juice everyone’s screaming about – two brand-new series regulars just got announced: Johnny Flynn (the guy from Emma and Beast) and Ophelia Lovibond (Minx, Guardians of the Galaxy). No character names yet, but the rumor mill says Flynn is playing some kind of wildcard outsider who gets way too close to the family, and Lovibond might be tied to the legal side that’s about to bury everybody. Two original cast members quietly left the show, so these new faces are sliding right into the power vacuum.
MobLand Season 2 Potential Plot
Plot-wise, the creators are playing it close to the chest, but the little crumbs they’ve dropped are wild. Season 2 picks up pretty much right after Harry and Maeve get hauled off. Expect a lot more courtroom scenes mixed with street-level revenge. The Harrigan-Stevenson war isn’t over – it’s just gone colder and nastier. Eddie’s real parentage is going to blow up in everybody’s face, Kev is still trying to play peacemaker (good luck with that), and word is at least three major characters aren’t making it out alive this time.
Social media is already flooded with theories: Harry turning full villain, Maeve cutting a deal with the devil to save her grandson, maybe even a surprise return from someone we thought was dead. Whatever happens, it’s gonna hurt in the best way.
