Rasika Dugal recently appeared as Beena Tripathi in the latest season of Mirzapur. Even though the third season, which came out four years after the second, was not as positively received as the prior, Rasika prefers to concentrate on the fans of the show. “When you have done three seasons of a show and more importantly, when you have as loyal and committed an audience as that of Mirzapur- they own the show, as much as you do,” she said while addressing the mixed reaction towards the show.
Rasika, who has recently bagged the Diversity Champion Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne added that some viewers have said they liked season 3 and there were those who said it was not what they thought it would be and how every kind of review is important.
Lately, a photo of Ali Fazal, the actor portraying protagonist Guddu Pandit, and Rasika appeared through which they are outside their characters. This has left fans wondering if it can be an indication of something for the next season of the series. “I love that every post about Mirzapur starts a conversation about what is to come. We have the best audience!,” chuckles the actress.
Meanwhile, Mirzapur makers recently released a bonus episode of season three on Prime Video. The streaming giant has not yet confirmed another season of the hit series.
