The show has viewers so engrossed in the show that many of them watch the 24×7 live feed daily. It sure has gained a lot of love and support from the fans to reach the success it has gained in the last 6 weeks.
Now the makers have come up with a new concept to boost the show ratings, even more, now the audience will be a part of the show by the introduction of the ‘Appeal Box’ which will give them decision making power of selecting necessities for the contestants to the audience. It is a very new concept to be used in any reality show before, but ‘Lock Upp’ has proven time and time again that it is not your regular reality show.
The new concept will start by asking contestants about their wants or requirements, which will be posted on the ALTBalaji and MX Player websites in the form of a creative. Then the appeal will seek an opinion from the audience on whether the contestants should get the items they want or not. So, the contestant who will get the maximum number of votes for their selected items, he/she will be given his desired requirement. this will make people help their favorite contestants enjoy some luxuries.
The ingredients in the ‘Appeal Box’ will have Grooming, Apparel, Utilities, and Food & Beverages options. In Grooming, the contestants will get personal hair care, body wash, nail kit, and hair wax. Apparel will have personal scrunchies, clips, foot-ware, accessories, and jewelry. Utilities will comprise personal hair styling tools, perfume, and body mist. And Food & Beverages will consist of chips, biscuits, aerated drinks, chocolates, a pack of instant noodles, instant pasta, 1 pack of chocolate milk, and 1 pack of juice.
Now with the introduction of a new concept, the show is estimated to reach even greater heights as the audience will now have a say in the show.
