Only one name comes to mind when you think about India’s Bollywood industry’s combination of boldness and fun. Yes, she is none other than Payal Rohatgi.

Her birthdate is November 9, 1985. She was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in a middle-class family. She attended Udgam School and L.D. College of Engineering in Ahmedabad for her education and engineering. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.

However, soon she went away from engineering and began her career as a model for well-known brands like Amul, Nirma, and Nescafe. She rose to prominence after starring in a Cadbury’s Temptations Chocolates television commercial. She also starred in music videos by the rock band Silk Route and Indipop musician Kay Kay around this period.

In 2002, Rohatgi made her Bollywood debut in Harry Baweja’s ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?,’ a Hindi adaptation of the ‘American Pie,’ teenage film. She went on to star in the films Plan (2003), Police Force (2003), and Rakht (2003). (2004).

’36 China Town,’ which also starred Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal, was her significant breakthrough in 2006.  he went on to star in the highly praised film ‘Corporate,’ in which she portrayed an item girl.

Charismatic Payal Rohatgi has always been a strong, independent lady. This has earned her both admirers and critics. Payal appears to be returning to the industry she loves three years after making trouble as a part of her identity.

But as we all know that the actress has completed her break and now she is going to be featured in  Ekta Kapoor-helmed, Kangana Ranaut-hosted ‘Lock Upp’ which is going to be premiered on MX Player and ALTBalaji.

Given that Payal effectively shut herself out of Bollywood, this decision may provide the actress with the dramatic comeback she wanted.
