Wrestler Babita Phogat is now locked up inside Kangana Ranaut’s jail in the reality tv show Lock Upp. Babita Kumari Phogat was born on 20th November 1989 in Bhiwani, Haryana. She is an Indian female wrestler, who has won various medals for the country and made it proud. She won silver medals at the 2018 commonwealth games and in 2010 as well, she also won a bronze medal at the 2012 world wrestling championship.
She also entered the political front and joined the Bharatiya Janta Party in the year 2019.
Babita, along with her sister and cousin, has contributed to a change in mindset and attitude towards girls and women in home-state Haryana and the rest of the nation.
In June 2019, she announced her engagement to fellow wrestler Vivek Suhag, whom she later married in November of the same year.
Talking about her joining the cast for the reality tv show Lock Upp Babita says: “I am very excited to get into a show like ‘Lock Upp’ because I have never done a show like this which is life for 24 hours. So, I am very glad and excited at the same time to be a part of this show.”
She further added “With this show, people will get to know what I am. Previously the audience has known me from the film ‘Dangal’. So, now people will get to know my real personality, my likes, and dislikes, and how I am in my real life as a person.”
The fans are eagerly waiting to know Babita more than a wrestler.
