The latest season of Koffee with Karan has so far received positive feedback from followers and viewers who have truly loved each episode. The programme has a lot going for it, from famous personalities to fascinating tales and controversy, but one of the key reasons for the show’s popularity has to be its presenter, superhit Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
For the past two decades, Karan Johar has been able to emcee the show flawlessly. Some may enjoy him, while others may despise him, but one thing is certain: he cannot be ignored. The filmmaker, who has had practically every superstar on his programme, from Shah Rukh Khan to Amitabh Bachchan, believes he is not daring enough to bring two individuals on the show.
He stated in a recent interview with The Hindu, “I did bring it up once with Rekha maam, even only a few seasons back. I was eager to have her on the show, but she was adamantly against it. But after that, I realised she had such an unusual, lovely mystery about her that it must be guarded at all times. As a result, I didn’t push it after that.” He went on to say, “Will I ever have Adi on KWK? I mean, I don’t believe I’m courageous enough to even approach him, right?”
On the work side, the filmmaker, who most recently helmed the superhit film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’ is returning behind the camera and is presently filming his next movie, ‘Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,’ starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
