Atrangii OTT just debuted their first horror series, ‘Kalwa’, under the direction of Vibhu Agarwal.
The series stars Karam Rajpal and Tanishq Tiwari, with Shaji Choudhary and Vicky Ahuja playing key roles.
‘Kalwa’ delves into the troubled lives of a couple, Ajay and Sanjana, played by Rajpal and Tiwari, who encounter marital difficulties after the terrible loss of their 7-year-old son in an accident and the consequent infertility concerns.
The story takes a sinister turn when the couple begins to encounter paranormal happenings, only to discover that they are being haunted by the wicked spirit of Kalwa, a notorious figure in ghost folklore. The series promises to take fans on a fascinating and terrifying adventure as Ajay and Sanjana face the terrible ghost of Kalwa.
Karam Rajpal discussed his delight and experiences at the series’ launch, noting the unique obstacles of filming a horror series, particularly at night in forests, which added to the project’s spooky mood.
Vibhu Agarwal, the founder of Atrangii OTT, expressed his excitement about delving into the horror genre with ‘Kalwa’ and recognised the success of prior shows ‘Ansuni’ and ‘KINK’, teasing next seasons. Furthermore, Nivedita Basu, Senior Vice President Group at Atrangii, stated her faith in the series’ actors and excitement about Atrangii’s horror debut.
This is a huge milestone for Atrangii OTT as they grow their content catalogue, branching out into new genres and promising an immersive horror experience with ‘Kalwa’. The series not only tries to grab the audience with its suspenseful and horrifying storyline, but it also highlights the talents of its cast and crew, indicating that it will be a major addition to the realm of Indian horror.
