Squid Game 2 is still in development. According to latest reports, Im Siwan from Summer Strike may join the cast.
Squid Game, Netflix’s most popular show, is presently in development for Season 2. The drama, which formerly starred Park Hae-soo and Lee Jung-jae in the major roles, will recast Jung-jae as Gi Hun and Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man. However, according to news reports, Im Siwan will be joining the cast as the show’s new lead.
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director, writer, and executive producer of Squid Game, revealed in June 2022 that, in addition to Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo might make a guest appearance in Season 2.
Squid Game 2 is said to have cost 100 billion won (roughly $78 million) to produce. The team hopes to finish casting soon and begin filming in the second half of the year. The sequel to Squid Game will be released in 2024.
