In a momentous celebration of hip-hop culture, Hip Hop India, a new dance reality show, set a spectacular Guinness World Record for the largest hip-hop performance on its launch day. The grand event took place at Filmcity in Mumbai and saw a staggering total of 1864 talented dancers coming together to jointly perform an electrifying hip-hop dance for over 5 minutes.
The historic event was graced by the presence of esteemed judges and renowned figures in the industry. Remo D’Souza and Nora Fatehi, who are popularly known for their contributions to the dance and entertainment world, were present as judges for Hip Hop India. They were joined by Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Advertising, and Rajesh Srivastava, Head of Marketing, Nissan Motors India, who flagged off the breathtaking performance.
The atmosphere at Filmcity was electric as the Guinness World Records official adjudicators confirmed the breaking of the previous record for the largest hip-hop performance, which had been achieved in 2014 by 1658 dancers in Alabama, USA. As the stadium erupted in a rapturous applause, India celebrated its place in history as the new record-holder.
