Helluva Boss Season 3 Release Date Speculations
Helluva Boss has wrapped up production on its second series and is currently making plans for the upcoming third series, which has been confirmed by the creator, Vivienne Medrano and her distribution partners.
Currently, there is no announcement as to an air date.
The third series is set to be released directly on Amazon Prime Video, representing a shift away from YouTube. The third series will be available on Prime Video, uncensored, with releases of the episodes on YouTube being delayed until afterwards. The creator has indicated that this method of distribution will help to avoid restrictions on conditions.
Within the last year, there has been speculation regarding a possible September air date of the third series as part of Amazon’s original programming announcements inthe summer of 2022. However, to date, there is no definitive information on whether there was a launch of at least one complete season at that time. The original speculation appears to have been related to special and preview content rather than as part of the third series.
Based on statements made publicly by the creative team regarding how long it will take to create the episodes and finish up animation work, the third series is most likely to premiere late 2023 or early 2024. The new season will pick up where Season 2 left off; this includes both character development and unresolved plot elements from Season 2 that have not been finalised between the members of the GOTA family.
There will be a heavier focus on family relationships and the long-term impact, rather than episodic mission, and an expansion of the Hellaverse world-building around demon hierarchies and Goetia politics. Moreover, there will be serialized story-telling than in previous seasons
Medrano has stated that Season 3 will be more explicit than past seasons due to the flexibility of the Prime Video platform, while (as stated before) both Adult Content and Music will remain part of the central concept of the show, the creative team is committed to making Season 3 primarily focused on character motivated story-telling.
