Heartstopper returned with its second season last year to universal critical acclaim, after graffitiing popular culture with cartoon squigglies and promoting the careers of several young British queeros. For those who did not see it, the Netflix series is based on the wildly popular webcomic of the same name by Alice Oseman. It centres on the romance between high school students Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), as well as diving into the lives of Tao (William Gao), Elle (Yasmin Finney), Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell).
