Comedian and actor Kiku Sharda has shut down rumours of his exit from The Great Indian Kapil Show and a supposed fallout with fellow comedian Krushna Abhishek. Taking to Instagram, Kiku clarified that he remains very much a part of the Netflix comedy show, dismissing speculation that he had quit to join the upcoming reality series Rise & Fall.

Kiku’s clarification

Sharing a picture with Krushna, Kiku wrote: “Yeh bandhan… kabhi nahi tootega! The fight was a prank only… Don’t fall for all this gossip and rumours ki I’ve left The Great Indian Kapil Show. I’ll always be a part of the show and this parivaar.”

He further urged fans to continue watching the Netflix show, reminding them that only three episodes remain in the current run. His statement brought relief to fans, many of whom had expressed disappointment over the viral video that hinted at tension between him and Krushna.

The rumours

Speculation of Kiku’s exit grew after behind-the-scenes footage surfaced online showing him and Krushna in a heated exchange. The clip went viral, sparking chatter that he was leaving Kapil’s show to take up other projects, including Rise & Fall.

While confirming his continued association with The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kiku also has new projects lined up.
