Actor Ananya Panday’s new series “Call Me Bae” will be available on Prime Video beginning September 6, the platform said on Monday.
The eight-episode series, directed by Collin D’Cunha, will chronicle the journey of Bella ‘Bae’ Chowdhary (Panday), who, after being shrunk from heiress to hustler, realises that her most prized qualities aren’t diamonds but street smarts and flair.
“Broke but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens, and her better self,” the makers wrote in a press release.
“Call Me Bae” stars Panday in the lead, as well as Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
Ishita Moitra created the series, which is produced by Dharma Productions’ Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. Panday last appeared in Netflix’s comedy-drama film “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan” in December of last year.
