Akanksha Puri of Vighanaharta Ganesh fame is the latest Bigg Boss OTT season 2 contestant to be removed.
She has been called one of the season’s strongest candidates. However, everything changed for her once she entered the reality programme. The producers identified her as a fake, and her 30-second kiss with Lebanon-born model Jad Hadid raised many eyebrows and made headlines.
It irritated the show’s host, Salman Khan, who disparaged both Akanksha and Jad. After her eviction, Akanksha remarked about her experience in the house and how the producers did not give her a fair chance. She also discussed the contentious kiss and her arduous time in the BB OTT jail.
She said, I never knew kiss ka itna kissa ban jaayega… it was just a task for me of 30 seconds and I did it for my team. Jad ke jagah Cyrus sir, Abhishek, Avinash or even Pooja ma’am bhi hote I would have done.’
She also added, ‘I was nominated. I was given a chance to perform a task and I did it. It was not something which is practically not possible. I’ve done 4 series on OTT where I’ve performed such scenes and there’s nothing new for me. I don’t think it was a big issue as an artist. I was given a task and I performed it. I did not take my lover in a corner and shared a passionate kiss with him. I did not indulge in love making, it was a task given to me and I performed it. I don’t regret it at all.’
