Global music star Pitbull — popularly known as Mr. Worldwide — has cancelled his much-anticipated India tour barely a week after announcing it, leaving fans across the country disappointed. The rapper was scheduled to perform on December 6 in Gurugram and December 8 in Hyderabad as part of his ‘I’m Back Tour’.
BookMyShow confirmed the cancellation in a statement, saying:
“Pitbull’s ‘I’m Back Tour’ in India, scheduled for December 6 in Gurugram and December 8 in Hyderabad, has been cancelled due to operational issues. We understand how excited fans were to see him live and share their disappointment. All ticket holders have been informed and will receive full refunds within 8–10 working days.”
The concerts were set to take place at HUDA Grounds, Gurugram, and Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, with BookMyShow Live producing and promoting the tour.
Pitbull — born Armando Christian Pérez — is known for chart-topping hits like Timber, Feel This Moment, and I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho), and is celebrated for blending Latin, dance, hip-hop, and pop influences into his signature global sound. His high-energy performances have been selling out venues across Europe and Australia, with fans often attending dressed as him and proudly calling themselves “The Bald E’s”.
The India leg was expected to be one of the most electrifying events of the year, especially following his successful global shows and collaborations, including his 2024 team-up with Bon Jovi. However, logistical hurdles have cut short Indian fans’ excitement — at least for now.
Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with disappointment, with fans hoping the rapper will soon reschedule his India appearances.
This cancellation comes shortly after pop icon Enrique Iglesias’ recent India performance which created significant buzz, heightening expectations for an international concert wave in India.
As things stand, fans will have to wait to see if Mr. Worldwide will bring the party to India at a later date.
