Honey Singh’s India Tour tickets sell out in minutes

Fans of popular singer-rapper Honey Singh were left disappointed on January 11 as tickets for his Millionaire India Tour sold out within minutes of going live on Zomato’s District app. The overwhelming demand mirrored the chaos seen during the ticket rush for Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh’s concerts, with virtual queues and skyrocketing prices adding to fans’ frustrations.

Initially priced at ₹1,499 for General Access, the ticket prices surged rapidly due to overwhelming demand. Premium tickets, which started at ₹6,500, were eventually being sold for ₹8,500. Other categories included Gold Balcony at ₹3,999 and Millionaire Pit at ₹6,000. Fans reported that even after waiting in queues of over 20,000, they were greeted with sold-out notifications once their turn arrived.

Interestingly, after selling out within minutes, tickets went live again, but this time at increased prices. General Access tickets were priced at ₹3,000 during the second phase of availability, causing further frustration among fans.

Honey Singh’s India tour is set to be a grand event, marking his first-ever nationwide concert series. The four-hour-long concerts, restricted to individuals aged 16 and above, will take place in ten cities across India. The tour kicks off in Mumbai on February 22 and concludes in Kolkata on April 5, covering cities like Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh.

The massive ticket demand highlights Honey Singh’s enduring popularity but has also raised concerns about the preparedness of platforms handling high-traffic events. Fans hope for better systems in place for similar future events to avoid such disappointments.
