Ed Sheeran, a British singer-songwriter, is going to perform in India again with singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad. Sheeran will perform at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on March 16.
Excited about the show Prateek Kuhad took to Instagram story and wrote, “Excited to join @teddysphotos +-=/ x 2024 Tour! See you soon Mumbai.” Prateek Kuhad will set the tone for the evening, showcasing songs for which he is known best and his new releases.
Interestingly, Calum Scott will make an appearance during the show.
Sheeran’s return to Mumbai comes six years after his spectacular Divide Tour in 2017.
This year, Sheeran released two albums: ‘-‘ (Subtract) and Autumn Variations. Sheeran collaborated with Aaron Dessner of The National on both albums, which were critically acclaimed when they were released in May and September, respectively. Sheeran’s two-hour + – = / x Tour will feature songs from all of his albums since 2011 – “Plus,” “Multiply” (2014), “Divide” (2017), “Equals” (2021), and the new “Subtract,” as well as one from 2019’s “No. 6 Collaborations Project” (“Blow”).
Sheeran’s debut performance in India was in 2015. Despite his injuries, he returned to perform at Jio World Garden in the Bandra Kurla Complex in November 2017.
He was also seen partying with Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, his wife Mira, Malaika Arora, and others at filmmaker Farah Khan’s home, which hosted the much-publicized night in commemoration of the ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker.
