French DJ David Guetta and Sia give fans a new song of hope ‘Let’s Love’.
This new single was recorded during the Covid-19 lockdown. From ‘Titanium’ with the lyrics “I’m bulletproof, nothing to lose; fire away, fire away” to getting to ‘Let’s Love’, Guetta said, “It’s funny you ask because I have been thinking about this a lot.”
David said, “In 2009, I produced ‘I Gotta Feeling’ with The Black Eyed Peas – the year after the Global Financial Crisis. The record became a global #1 hit and I think it was definitely because people wanted to listen to feel-good music. This year I’ve felt inspired by this again. I want to produce music that makes people feel good.”
David shared the inspiration behind ‘Let’s Love’ by saying, “I really wanted to make a happy track because the world was going through some pretty dark times. When I think of happy music I immediately think of the ’80s because the sound back then was very cheerful, very upbeat; which is why we chose to take inspiration from that. Working with Sia on this felt very natural, she’s one of the most talented artists I know and when it comes to making such a power anthem no one can compare to her.”
