With thousands expected to attend the Coldplay concert on January 18, 19, and 21 at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai authorities have implemented measures to manage traffic and enhance commuter convenience.
Traffic Restrictions
Authorities have imposed traffic restrictions under Sections 115, 116(1)(a)(b), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
- Heavy vehicles, including trucks and goods carriers, are prohibited from entering, travelling, or parking within Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction on concert days.
- The restrictions will be in effect between 2 PM and 12 AM on January 18, 19, and 21.
- Exemptions apply for vehicles transporting essential goods, emergency services, and government vehicles.
Safety and Services
- Fire brigades and ambulances will be stationed outside the stadium for emergencies.
- Commuters are urged to plan their travel routes in advance to avoid congestion.
Transport Assistance
To facilitate travel, several arrangements have been made:
- BookMyShow has partnered with Indian Railways to introduce exclusive local train services connecting western, central, and harbour lines. Key stops include Andheri, Bandra, and Chembur.
- CityFlo buses will be available for direct travel to the stadium.
- Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) will run 10 additional buses from Nerul and Juinagar railway stations to the venue.
This proactive approach aims to ensure hassle-free arrangements and enhance the concert experience for attendees.
