Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal’s 2nd-biggest opening earns Rs. 5.75 crores

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke acted by Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s first-day haul of roughly Rs 5.75 crores nett has pleasantly thrilled. It has the sixth-largest opening in Hindi for 2023.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, played by Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan Laxman Utekar’s film had a respectable opening day gross of between Rs. 5.50 and Rs. 6 crores.

Although there was some genuine excitement for the movie due to a brand-new pairing and the hit music, these numbers didn’t appear to be possible early yesterday. Given the level of interest in the movie, the momentum persisted throughout the opening day and should continue over the weekend.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is Sara Ali Khan’s fourth-largest opening after Simmba, Love Aaj Kal, and Kedarnath and the second-largest opening for Vicky Kaushal in a main role after Uri: The Surgical Strike.

The fact that both actors had their most recent films released exclusively on digital platforms and were still able to draw audiences to theatres makes the premiere of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke particularly noteworthy. This proves that actors can still command a strong theatrical pull despite having their most recent films released exclusively on digital platforms if the elements are just right and there is enough to keep viewers interested.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke prior to its premiere, had sold about 22000 tickets through the three national chains. At the end of day 1, the three national chains’ first-day collections totaled about Rs 3.35 crores nett. PVR contributed Rs 1.54 crore, Inox contributed Rs 1.11 crore, and Cinepolis contributed Rs 70 lakh of the total of Rs 3.35 crore.

This is wonderful news because the budget and average ticket prices of the Vicky-Sara starrer are substantially lower than those of medium-sized flicks like Shehzada and Selfiee this year.

These figures would have been written off before to the pandemic, but in the post-pandemic era, they are highly respectable and give the movie a good opportunity.
