The biopic of Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh has been officially announced, with T-Series set to produce the film. The tentative title for the movie is “Six Sixes,” which will depict Singh’s extraordinary journey from cricket stardom to his battle with cancer and triumphant return.
The announcement was made on Tuesday through T-Series Films’ official Instagram and X handles. The film aims to capture Yuvraj Singh’s iconic career moments, including his legendary six sixes in an over against England’s Stuart Broad during the 2007 T20 World Cup and his pivotal role in India’s 2011 World Cup victory, where he was named Player of the Series. Additionally, the film will highlight his courageous fight against cancer, diagnosed in 2011, and his successful return to cricket in 2012.
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and producer Ravi Bhagchandka, known for the Sachin Tendulkar documentary Sachin: A Billion Dreams, will collaborate on this project. Kumar described the film as a powerful narrative of resilience and triumph, emphasizing Yuvraj Singh’s journey from a cricketing hero to a symbol of strength and perseverance.
