Pankaj Tripathi is one of the leading actors of the Hindi cinema. Coming from an ordinary background, he has proved his acting skills and talent with sheer determination. The actor known for his roles in Gangs of Wasseypur, Stree, Criminal Justice, and Mirzapur has had a tough journey to stardom.
In a recent interview with ANI, Pankaj Tripathi revealed how he aspired to join politics but due to a change in events, had to turn to acting. The actor shared an incident during his days in Bihar. He stated that though he didn’t ever think of entering politics, there was still a thought that he might want to pursue his career in that field.
Adding further, the actor said that he was arrested and brutally beaten up by the police, so he never thought about entering politics again.
That was also the time, that he started developing an interest in cinema and theatres. As politics was a complete no for him, he was attracted by acting and started foreseeing his career in that line.
Pankaj Tripathi was a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) when he was a student in Bihar. At that time, he didn’t have any keen interest in politics.
Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming biographical film Main Atal Hoon. He will be playing the role of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During his interview, he shared his interest in politics and how he prepared for the role.
Main Atal Hoon is directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali and Sandeep Singh. The film is written by Ravi Jadhav and Rishi Virmani. It is slated to release on the 19th of January 2024.
