On the 21st of December, Thursday, Welcome is celebrating its 16th anniversary. And this day marks extra special as the franchise’s third film is also being shot currently. Recollecting the essence, the main lead Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram account and shared a post expressing his joy.
The actor got nostalgic and shared a video clip wherein he was seen riding a horse. There is also Sanjay Dutt, who is following him on the bike. Akshay captioned the clip by writing, “What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of #Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part #WelcomeToTheJungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba to this one. What do you think?”
The shooting for Welcome 3 began a few days ago and Akshay shared this update with his fans, calling it absolute madness. Dropping a video, he wrote: “Absolute madness of masti begins as we start the shoot of #WelcomeToTheJungle. Will need your wishes for this rollercoaster full of all things fun and crazy :)#Welcome3”
Welcome To The Jungle is directed by Ahmed Khan. It also stars Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutt, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, and Paresh Rawal in key roles. It will not feature Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. However, the second instalment didn’t have Akshay as well. It showcased John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles.
