Vijay Varma roped in to play the negative lead in Suriya’s next film with Sudha Kongara

Suriya and Sudha Kongara worked together for the first time on the national award-winning film Soorarai Pottru in 2020. Due to COVID-19 , the picture was released on OTT only and received love from viewers.

Suriya and Sudha Kongara are going to work together for the second time on an untitled film produced by 2D Entertainment, three years after the success of Soorarai Pottru. According to media reports, the yet-untitled film would star Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan in important roles.

Vijay Varma has joined the cast of Sudha Kongara’s untitled project to portray the antagonist. “Vijay Varma proved himself doing films like Darlings, Dahaad, Pink, Gully Boy, Super 30, and more recently, Lust Stories 2,” says Sudha Kongara.His work has received high praise, and he has attracted the attention of directors and producers for Pan-India projects. Suriya’s next film starring Sudha is Vijay Verma’s first Pan India picture, according to a source close to the production.

While Vijay’s character characteristics are unknown, he plays a villain in the film. This film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. “Sudha has finished most of her work on the official Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, starring Akshay Kumar, and is now preparing to begin work on her next film.” The preparations have begun, and yet-untitled film will expected to begin production in November 2023, the source stated.

Suriya will complete work on Siva’s Kanguva before beginning work on the yet-untitled Sudha Kongara project. The actor has also agreed to appear in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Karna, which will begin production next year.
