The trailer of the movie, Toofan, got released today. Farhan Akhtar was seen in the role of a boxer who was banned from entering the ring for 5 years. The trailer begins with the scene in which the boxer’s wife, played by Mrunal Thakur, congratulates Farhan’s character, Aziz Ali, as the 5-year ban on him is lifted. But he is still sad and rejects to restart his career. Aziz Ali was previously known as Ajju Bhai. He had successfully completed his journey of transformation from the rowdy thug who used to thrash people to a respected boxer. He was fondly called ‘Toofan’ by his fans. Actor Paresh Rawal plays the role of his coach. However, his life takes an unexpected turn and gets banned for 5 years from entering the boxing ring. Now, he is encouraged by his wife and coach to make a comeback.

The movie is directed by the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Toofan stars actors like Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, along with Vijay Raaz, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumar, and Supriya Pathak. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani along with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and Farhan Akhtar. The movie will be releasing on Amazon Prime on July 16.
