On July 12, the seventh installment of the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise was released worldwide, and Hollywood icon Tom Cruise delighted fans at theatres in Toronto, Washington, DC, and Atlanta. Director Christopher McQuarrie accompanied him. He can be heard stating in one of the videos, “We love movies, and we love you all, and thank you very much, we’re grateful. Have a great summer!”

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One sees Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet.
With control of the future and the fate of the world on the line, and evil forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race across the world starts. When confronted with a mysterious, all-powerful adversary, Ethan is forced to ponder that nothing is more important than his purpose – not even the lives of people he loves the most.
Other cast members include Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Cary Elwes, Frederick Schmidt, and Mariela Garriga.
Christopher McQuarrie, who previously helmed Rogue Nation and Fallout, wrote and directed the picture. Cruise, McQuarrie, J.J. Abrams, David Ellison, and Jake Meyers are producing the project. Dead Reckoning Part Two, due out on June 28, 2024, is slated to be Cruise’s final appearance as Ethan Hunt.
