Thalapathy Vijay’s much anticipated action film Beast has been in headlines for long now. The directorial project of Nelson Dilipkumar Beast starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde is confirmed to be wrapped in November this year and set to release in summer 2022.
Recently, the shooting moved to New Delhi and airport pictures of Vijay moved around the internet creating buzz of interest around the Tamil language film. The shooting of the film started in Georgia early this year and after a brief part shot there, a major part has also been shot in Chennai.
Earlier it was speculated the action film will release during the time of Pongal but now he movie is to premier in summer of 2022 in cinema around the globe.
A member close to development revealed, “The team of Beast was looking to release during the Pongal weekend; however, the shooting took longer than expected and hence have decided on delaying the film to the Summer 2022 window (April End). The team has shot nearly 60% of the film already and the remaining portions will be shot over a period of next two months.”
The film revolves around a hostage situation in a mall, with Thalapathy Vijay’s character having most at his shoulders, much about the character is not revealed to built suspense and intrigue audience but the character will be dealing with raw emotions along with Pooja Hegde.
The film is produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh Ravichander as music director. While Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, Lilliput Faruqui, Ankur Ajit Vikal and Sathish Krishnan in supporting roles along with Vijay and Pooja Hegde.
