What were the remunerations of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and other artists in Stree 2 that have raked up shocking records at the box office? The movie got into the ₹100 crore club within two days of its release. Now, as per a recent ABP News report, in the horror comedy Shraddha was paid less than Rajkummar.
As per the report, Shraddha demanded ₹ 5 crore for Stree 2 which was highest among all the actors except Rajkumar Rao. He was paid ₹6 crore for doing the role of Vicky in Stree 2. In addition, according to a report in Free Press Journal, it has been learnt that actor Pankaj Tripathi has charged a whopping ₹3 crore for ‘Stree 2’. Aparshakti Khurana is stated to have been paid nearly ₹70 lakh and Abhishek Banerjee was to be paid almost ₹55 lakh for Stree 2.
There are also some reports which said that for a cameo appearance as Bhediya in the film, actor Varun Dhawan demanded ₹ 2 crore. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film which was released in the theatres on Thursday has been receiving praise in India and the international markets. Trade analyst Sacnilk estimated it grosses around Rs 135 crore in India in its three days of the theatrical run.
The plot of the horror-comedy is set in the background of how the evil antagonist named Sarkata has arisen and started harassing the people of Chanderi who then turn towards Stree for help. It has guest appearances by Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan.
