Amar Kaushik, currently riding high on the success of Stree 2, has been regarded as present most successful directors. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead and features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. Stree 2 has collected over Rs. 560 crore worldwide, and since the news of it shattering records at box office, there has been an online credit war among the fans of Shraddha and Rajkummar.
As per Spotboye, director Amar Kaushik shared his take on the credit war and humbly refused to take credit for its success. “Sir, this film Stree is neither my film, nor just the producer’s film, nor any one actor’s film. This film is a team film. If even one member of the team had not performed well, this film would not have been a success…. This is teamwork, even if it is my spotboy, my ADs, my cinematographer, my sound designer, my foley artist, everyone, Sir, even the actors, even the small roles that they played….The production designer, and the VFX team, without them, not a single step has been taken wrongly.”
Earlier, Aparshakti had also reacted to the credit war online, and blamed it on PR. The actor had also faced some backlash from the fans of Shraddha.
