The latest release of Stree 2 has created quite a buzz with people talking about everything about the movie from the collections to trivia related to it. Despite the fact that many fans and critics have developed a good picture of what was expected in the movie, one of the issues that was widely discussed is the similarity between the poster of the film and that of the Stranger Things season 2.

Stree 2 Abhishek Banerjee recently addressed these criticism in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. He said, “Pata nahi, I have no idea. Yeh marketing aur poster woh log kis tarah sochte hai humein kya pata. Hum toh actor hain. Main abb nai janta. Hamara toh kaam hai poster pe aana, banana thodi hai.”

The controversy started when audience realized that the posters for the two shows were completely similar in appearance. Both had a group of young people and this looks as if they are wrong with something bad on the background of the darkness behind them. It is without saying that the resemblance was very striking, and many fans did not shy of sharing this on social media platforms. While there were reactions that the two movies had the exact plot features by mere coincident, there were other reactions that expected Stree 2 to have been influenced by the Netflix series.
