Sky Force: Akshay Kumar’s action drama completes its shooting; film to be released on THIS date

Akshay Kumar has a number of upcoming films. He has been filming back-to-back, and according to a recent report, Akshay Kumar has concluded the shoot for Sky Force.

Pinkvilla stated in its report that the creators intend to release on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2. Sandeep Kewlani, director, also tweeted the update on his X handle.

He shared a photo of Akshay Kumar on the movie set with the team as they finished filming. The crew shot for 100 days, with Akshay finishing in 60 days. Akshay is pictured posing with the staff and cast. Last year, Akshay revealed the project on his social media accounts.

“No better day than today to announce the incredible story of #SkyForce: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Sky Force takes flight in cinemas on 2nd October, 2024,” read the caption.

 

This film will also mark the debut of actor Veer Pahariya, the maternal grandson of Maharashtra’s former chief minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde. The film is produced by Amar Kaushik, Keval Shah, and Dinesh Vijan under the banners Maddock Films and Jio Studios. Apart from Veer Pahariya and Akshay Kumar, actress Nirmat Kaur will play an important role in the film.

According to Pinkvilla, Sky Force is based on the unsung true story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Apart from Sky Force, Akshay Kumar will next appear in Sarfira, a Hindi version of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru. Sudha Kongara directs the film, which will be released on July 12, 2024.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, alongside Tiger Shroff. The film did not match the audience’s expectations. In Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar plays Captain Firoz, often known as Freddy, while Tiger Shroff plays Captain Rakesh, or Rocky. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the villain Kabir. Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F also play significant parts in the action film.
