Sir Madam Sarpanch is releasing on 14th April in the theatres. It is directed by Pravin Morchhale and produced by SunCal Productions International.

The official trailer of Sir Madam Sarpanch has been released on YouTube. The audience approached it positively. It reportedly depicts the stories of women who go abroad for pursuing higher studies and returned to become Sarpanch.

The movie is directed by the national award-winning director Pravin Morchhale. This is his next masterpiece which showcases the stereotypes relating to women and society in general. As he has mentioned earlier, the movie is a social satire, it seems to draw the attention of the audience towards many taboos that are being rooted in our culture since the beginning.

The movie cast includes actors such as Seema Biswas, Hemant Deolekar, Shubhangini Shrivas, Bhawan Tiwari, Jyoti Dubey and Ariana Sajnani. The movie revolves around Ana, who is an Indian by birth and had resided in the U.S. After completing her Education, she desires to open up a library in her native. While she comes up with this idea, Ana is faced with incredible difficulties. The people in higher authorities use their power to discard her plan. She then decides to stand up for the post of Sarpanch during the Gram Panchayat elections with the support of fellow women locals.

Pravin Morchhale said, Sir Madam Sarpanch is inspired by true events. “I once read about these courageous women, who gave up their luxurious life for making a remarkable change. My movie recaptures the entire story with the element of comedy in it.”

The film also received the INALCO jury award which was held in Europe. To this, Morchhale said “It was a tremendous victory for us to be in a position to deliver in the right sense. It has made the audience laugh and made them feel empathetic towards the issues concerning rural India.”

The movie is based on the real life hero Maya Vishwakarma, who moved from San Francisco to Mehragaon village located in Madhya Pradesh.
