
AR Murugadoss is all set to make his comeback to Bollywood with Salman Khan starrer Sikandar. He last worked in Bollywood for Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini. Recently, during an interview, the director opened up on working with the superstar and shared about shooting schedules amidst the death threats being received by Salman.
The acclaimed director recalled that post Salman got death threats, security on the sets were beefed up, and all the extra artists on the sets were being checked everyday, which would take roughly 2 to 3 hours. The secuirty check up was being held both at the start and at the end of the shoot, which resulted in their shootings starting late, and would go on till early morning. He also recalled that this took a toll on their biological clock, but they eventually adjusted to it.
Speaking of Salman’s role in Sikandar, the director shared that since the actor is a fan favorite and brought a certain weightage to the character, he was the ideal choice. He also shared that the film was made on a massive scale and they would often have 10 to 20 thousand people on sets.
The movie is set to release on Eid 2025, and shall feature Rashmika Mandanna in lead opposite Salman.
