Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release on March 30, 2025, coinciding with Eid. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the action-packed entertainer has generated significant buzz, with fans eager to see whether it will propel Salman Khan into the coveted ₹500-crore club—a feat already achieved by Shah Rukh Khan (Pathaan, Jawan), Ranbir Kapoor (Animal), and Sunny Deol (Gadar 2).
Industry analysts are optimistic about the film’s box-office potential. Trade expert Taran Adarsh emphasized that expectations are high. “Salman has to deliver the numbers. The pressure is there. ₹100 or ₹200 crores won’t be enough,” he said.
Given Rashmika Mandanna’s recent streak with Animal and Pushpa 2, many believe she brings luck to the film. Exhibitor Raj Bansal highlighted that the fresh pairing of Salman and Rashmika, combined with Murugadoss’s direction, will be crucial in determining the film’s long-term success.
Day 1 Box Office Predictions
With Salman Khan’s strong Eid track record, trade experts predict a massive opening day collection. Bihar-based cinema owner Vishek Chauhan and analyst Atul Mohan estimate that Sikandar could earn between ₹45-55 crore on Day 1. If audience reception is positive, the film could surpass the ₹500-crore mark globally.
As Salman Khan steps outside his comfort zone with a new director, all eyes are on Sikandar. Will it redefine his box-office legacy? The verdict arrives on March 30.
