Shweta Tripathi – Golu from the Mirzapur series – is a name that rings a bell. It wasn’t long ago that the makers announced Mirzapur: The Film, and since then, people have kept hoping, waiting for every update about the film. Just few days back, in the recent interview Shweta has highlighted an important aspect about the movie saying, it’s going to be more of a testosterone-heavy film’.
During an interview with Mid Day, the actress said that the film adaptation of the series would go on the floors soon. She went on to say that it is the world of Mirzapur and it is a male dominated world where men are power and so will be the movie.
Although the setting and mood will still be in line with the series but it will be more macho oriented. She also said that the characters like Compounder and Munna will also feature in the movie.
The actress said she was happy to be acknowledged for her character Golu and mentioned fans having love for that character makes her happy. Shweta explained that what makes it special for her is when young women, wearing makeup, express their admiration of Golu.
