Shraddha Kapoor is set to explore new cinematic avenues with a high-concept thriller directed by Tumbbad filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve. The film, which is expected to begin shooting in late 2025, will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Reports indicate that the actress was highly impressed by the film’s unique storyline and sees it as a compelling follow-up to Stree 2.

Sources suggest that Kapoor has been in discussions with Ekta Kapoor for multiple projects, one of which includes a romantic drama directed by Aashiqui 2 filmmaker Mohit Suri. If finalized, the project would reunite her with Aditya Roy Kapur, rekindling their on-screen chemistry. While details about additional projects remain undisclosed, Kapoor is reportedly considering various scripts before Stree 3 begins production.

Meanwhile, Kapoor’s long-awaited Naagin trilogy is back on track after speculation regarding its cancellation due to budget concerns. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi recently dismissed such reports, affirming that the project remains in development. Directed by Vishal Furia, the trilogy aims to reimagine the iconic folklore of shape-shifting serpents with a fresh narrative and heavy reliance on VFX.

Furia previously hinted at an innovative take on the Naagin mythology, promising a visually striking cinematic experience. With Kapoor leading the trilogy, the project is expected to break new ground in Indian fantasy cinema.

As she explores diverse genres, from supernatural thrillers to high-concept narratives, Kapoor’s upcoming slate promises an exciting phase in her career, further solidifying her position in Bollywood.
